    NOTE: It's normal that some tiny bamboo "hair" may appear on the surface after several washing and dry, because Surpahs bamboo cutting boards are made with 100% eco-friendly natural bamboo. These "hair"are completely harmless natural fibers and cause no problems whatsoever. For best maintenance, it is always a good idea to apply for mineral oil to the surface once a day for a week, then do it once a month.

    I had bought some expensive hardwood cutting board before I bought this one. That thing warped and cracked after a few months. This one, on the other hand, has lasted. You can't beat the price. I just rub it down with mineral oil every once and a while.

    I have cheap laminate counter tops in my apt. kitchen. I use these on it to save the counter top beneath it from being damaged. They are really kind of handy. Easy to clean, move around and look nice too. They are not meant for heavy cutting use in my opinion.
